Located in Jackson, WY, Womack & Associates provides engineering geology and geotechnical engineering services to diverse clients in the Intermountain West and beyond. Our work emphasizes site characterization and remedial design for sites with geohazard problems such as slope instability. We have over 30 years of experience as geotechnical consultants for developments varying from ski areas and high-end vacation homes to mines. We have particular expertise in evaluation of geological uncertainty and risk.
WAI has provided geotechnical and geological services for many major projects: mine structures hundreds of feet tall and holding hundreds of millions of tons of rock and soil; the second largest power plant in the West; CERCLA sites in a half dozen states; the second longest new railroad in the US; the largest building in Wyoming; the highest aerial tram in North America; and the “most beautiful” highway in North America. Several of the projects have been ongoing for more than ten years.
